This Privacy Notice sets out how we, who administer the Solent Sunbeam Class Association, use and protect any personal data that you provide us with or that we obtain when you visit this website. We are committed to protecting your personal data and any personal data we collect from you will be used and managed in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

- Identity Data – includes first name, last name and title
- Contact Data – includes email address, address and telephone numbers.
- Publication Data – is data provided by you when you join our social media groups and interact with our website.
- Images – includes photos and video that contain identifiable people and are considered to be part of identity data
What we do with the information we gather
We process this data in order to manage the Class Association as follows:
- To manage your membership of the Class Association
- To generate emails and messages on Class social media that inform you about our activities.
- To contact next of kin in the event of an emergency
- To create and manage the Class membership published annually in hard copy format
- To put photos and videos on the Class website, third party magazines and class social media pages, and in press releases to promote the activities and membership of the Class Association
- To promote and manage Class sailing activities
- To promote and manage Class social activities
We will not share your personal information with third parties unless we are required by law to do so.
Security
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect.
Retention of data
Our policy is to review all data held on individuals at least every two years and remove data where we no longer have a legitimate reason to keep it.
Updating your personal information
You can contact us at any time at info@solentsunbeam.co.uk to update or correct the data we hold on you, or to request that we stop using such data, or by unsubscribing from email or our social media pages. We undertake to carry out your requests promptly.
Website visitors: running and improving our website
We use Google Analytics and cookie technology when a person visits our website to collect and analyse anonymised data on how many people have visited, what pages they have looked at and other statistical information. A cookie does not give us access to your computer or any information about you personally.
