A Sunbeam requires careful tuning to achieve optimum performance and along with its relatively low hull speed in tidal waters makes it a challenging my old life style boat to sail well. No electronic navigational aids are permitted, which increases the dependency on raw feel and racing nous. But that’s the way Sunbeam sailors like it.
